Vintage Vermeil Hoops! Pretty much the perfect hoop- great size, dimensions and big gold look without the big gold price tag. Vermeil is a thick layer of gold over sterling silver. In the US, the standard is at least 10K gold and the plating has to be at least 2.5 microns, (which is much thicker than the average gold plating you see on cheaper pieces that usually have brass or a lesser metal underneath). These are a much nicer alternative to solid gold and with proper care*, these beauties will stay gold for a long, long time!
