This little guy is unusual and special. It was made in silver in the ancient technique of the Sand Cast method, where liquid silver is poured into a cavity made in wet sand. This technique dates back to ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt, continued through the Romans and Viking age, was used by the Navajo in the mid 1800s and it is still employed today, isn't that amazing!
