The beads are a faceted, rondelle shape and they glint and gleam from a dainty 14K yellow gold figaro chain. There is a lot of history and folklore surrounding quartz. This version, Rock Crystal, is clean and clear in appearance and is said to be clearing, cleansing and healing. Ancient Greeks called quartz "kruos" which meant frost or ice.In ancient Japan, clear quartz was called the "perfect jewel" and it was viewed as a symbol of infinite space, purity, perseverance and patience. In ancient Egypt, clear quartz was valued as a stone of protection and due to its bright, shining clarity was linked to the sun god Ra.
