A vintage keeper ring! This unique and striking style of ring has been made for centuries. This unusual style of ring with the braided rows became known as a keeper ring or a 'guard' ring because it was often worn above a grander, more valuable ring to keep that ring safely on the finger. As things tend to do, the wording and meaning became a little blurred, and the phrase of calling someone "a keeper" is associated with this style of ring. Cool, right! This particular ring has three rows knitted together with a very cool texture and a hefty weight. Teeny hallmarks on the inside of the band tell us it was made in London in 1985.
