An antique silver tassel just full of texture! Rope, wheat, beads- oh my! This tassel was probably part of a watch chain in its original life. I love giving new life to antique components!
The tassel has four little strands of flexible wheat chain which looks like tiny braids, these are finished in round beaded ends. The cap of the tassel has a rope edge detail that mimics the strands of chain - a tiny and charming detail. A circular, spiral wrap of wire connects the cap to the chain which is seen again in the little loops at the beaded ends.
The overall feeling of the necklace is tactile, kinetic and swingy. It is very fun to twirl, spin and play with. It would make for a very classy fidget spinner but could also be a physical reminder to be more flexible and flowy. When the tassel is laying flat, it has a sleek columnar look to it that is quite chic!
